Posted in drawings by john herndon, french fried eyeballs, home made tattoos with tags chicago, kraken, ramps on May 12, 2012 by John HerndonWhere I grew up, ramps grew up all over the mountains. There was a stigma among kids in my school about them. Somehow they were considered low class, kinda hillbilly. Rumor was, if you ate em before school (they sure are yummy fried up in some eggs), your breath would stink so bad you’d have to sit in the hall until the stink was gone. Wish I would have known how full of shit those kids were. Now you can find them on your plate in bourgeois little restaurants for hip ladies and dudes. Hillbilly food for $29 a plate. Ah choo! Chicago, chicagou.
Much gratitude and respect to JB for sitting like a rock and just being a really nice guy. As always, thank you all for looking.

Posted in drawings by john herndon, french fried eyeballs, home made tattoos on March 21, 2012 by John HerndonI try to work and I keep thinking of World War III
I try to talk to girls and I keep thinking of World War III
The goddamned six o’clock news makes sure I keep thinking of World War III
I got a mile of numbers and a ton of stats
Of warheads
A billion Chinese with warheads
I don’t even worry about crime any more
So many goddamned scared faces
I keep thinking of Russia, of Russia
Paranoid, stuck on overdrive
Paranoid, scared shitless
